Congratulations CU Denver Class of 2024!
Last week more than 2,200 CU Denver students completed their degrees. Graduates represented 43 states and 29 countries, 1/3 were the first in their family to earn a college degree, and over 100 are veterans or active-duty military.
Nearly 70% of CU Denver alumni choose to stay in Colorado to live and work, creating a ripple effect that benefits our communities, state, and region. This year, The Denver Business Journal recognized four Lynx alumni for their community impact in its annual 40 Under 40 list.
Quantum Expert Sparks Conversation and Inquiry
The annual Chancellor’s Distinguished Lecture Series, made possible by the Damrauer Endowed Lectureship Fund, featured Dr. Erik Lucero '05, the Lead Quantum Engineer and Site Lead for Google Santa Barbara who explored facts, fiction, and the future of quantum mechanics. Lucero discussed how he uses artistic work to inspire teams and how quantum computing could help solve some of the world’s biggest problems.

Are you Ready for a Change?
CU Denver is reimagining higher education to welcome those at the end of their primary working years. The Change Makers program brings experienced professionals who are approaching or already in retirement back to college for a semester to explore possibilities, retool, and renew their purpose. And it’s striking a chord with CU Denver alumni, who have made up a fifth of our 62 Change Maker fellows since the program started in January 2023.
