Public Health, MPH – Leadership and Public Health Practice

Colorado School of Public Health

Overview

Flexible format designed to fit your busy life

At the Colorado School of Public Health (ColoradoSPH), we believe that working professionals need the flexibility to advance their careers and that geography shouldn't be a barrier to earning an accredited, graduate education in public health. The online Master of Public Health (MPH) in Leadership and Public Health Practice is a great fit for professionals who want to hone their management, leadership and public health skills. For this program, we do not require GRE test scores, we offer all of the required courses online — in both asynchronous and synchronous formats — and we look for applicants with work experience. We do not run on a cohort model, so you can adjust your coursework on a semester-by-semester basis, if needed, to accommodate your work or personal schedule.

Practical, career-focused instruction

This program will prepare you for leadership positions in public-health-driven organizations in health care, government, non-profit and for-profit industries. With courses in all five core areas of public health, ranging from biostatistics to health policy, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the discipline. In addition, you’ll gain the management, budgeting, evaluation and public health administration experience you need to become an effective leader and manager. You can also tailor your coursework to your passions with nine elective credits. Our electives cover a range of hot topics in public health such as GIS mapping, public health informatics, communication for public health impact and more.

Why ColoradoSPH?

We draw on the expertise of faculty and staff from not just one, but three leading universities — the University of Colorado, Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado. Our faculty, staff and students work together to reach underserved populations, share knowledge and conduct research. That spirit of collaboration extends beyond university walls and into the communities we serve. We don't believe in research just for research's sake. We're taking what we're learning and applying it in the real world, in real-time. Our students and alumni are advancing health policies locally, studying diseases in rural communities abroad, and practicing public health in countless other ways.

Join a community of people who think outside the box and care as much as you do.

Choose your adventure at the ColoradoSPH. Change the world, your way.
