Tuition and Fees

Investing in your future is a big decision. However, becoming a fully online student at CU Denver is an affordable option with discounted tuition rates for non resident, fully online students. And of course, you will save money not having to drive to campus! Tuition and fees are based largely on the class that you enroll in.

Tuition and Fees - MS in Information Technology

Curriculum

Our curriculum consists of 30 credit hours and is aligned with the US GAAP and international financial reporting standards and practices. We offer courses targeting the specific topics covered on the CPA exam, so you’ll be well-prepared when you're ready to sit for the exam.

Accounting Prerequisite Coursework (9 hours)

If you have not had a formal accounting education, you will need to complete an additional 9 hours of prerequisite coursework to ensure you have a strong accounting foundation. This coursework does not need to be completed at the time of admission and can be waived based on previous academic coursework.

Core Classes (24 hours)

Core classes give you a strong foundation in all areas of accounting.

Course topics include:

  • Advanced financial accounting
  • Accounting information systems
  • Accounting ethics
  • Taxation of business entities
  • Seminar: Financial Accounting
  • Seminar: Managerial Accounting

Accounting Electives (6 hours)

Electives allow you to dive deeper into the areas of accounting that are most relevant for your future career.
