Colorado School of Public Health
While we’ve made significant progress in the field of maternal and child health, far too many children and mothers still die from preventable causes. Public health practitioners and current graduate students who want to tackle this important issue and apply best practices to serve women, children and families are a great fit for this program. With only 5 hours of required coursework and 10 elective credits, this flexible and fully online program is a great fit for those who want to customize their education.
Students in this program can tailor their course schedule to focus on specific populations, such as American Indian/Alaska Native or Latinx, or fields, such as epidemiology or community health. Those who excel in this program and wish to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH), can apply certificate credits (up to 21) towards their degree. We do not require the GRE for the certificate program or for our MPH program.
This certificate is designed for those who want to:
You may complete the certificate prior to or concurrently with the Master of Public Health (MPH) program. If you intend to pursue an MPH after completing the certificate program, you must formally apply and complete all of the admissions requirements
of the MPH program. Up to 21 certificate credits can be applied towards the MPH degree.

At the ColoradoSPH, we draw on the expertise of faculty and staff from not just one, but three leading universities — the University of Colorado, Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado. Our faculty, staff, and students work together to reach underserved populations, share knowledge and conduct research. That spirit of collaboration extends beyond university walls and into the communities we serve. We don't believe in research just for research's sake. We're taking what we're learning and applying it in the real world, in real-time. Our students and alumni are advancing health policies locally, studying diseases in rural communities abroad, and practicing public health in countless other ways.
Join a community of people who think outside the box and care as much as you do.
Choose your adventure at the ColoradoSPH. Change the world, your way.
